Birmingham started working towards becoming a Compassionate City during 2019 building this aspiration into the Palliative and End of Life Care Strategy. Whilst COVID slowed down formal progress, it also provided an opportunity to demonstrate the incredible compassion of so many Brummies to their fellow citizens.
During 2021 a Compassionate City Network formed with a great team of people working together across the Compassionate City Charter Standards.
